The Entrepreneur’s Source: How Wildly Successful is Start a Business Weekend?

The Entrepreneur’s Source: How Wildly Successful is Start a Business Weekend?  Start a Business Weekend®, is the country’s largest virtual Franchise Expo in North America. Just this last July it had over 170 national franchise exhibitors showcasing their opportunities to over thousand prospective business owner attendees.

  • Sounds impressive, right?

The July expo was the most recent event; however, this online expo has been building on its success from their very first Start a Business Weekend® in March 2012.   Start a Business Weekend® has consistently been setting new records. We can’t wait for the next one that will be hosted October 26-28.

  • So let’s take a closer look…

Picture this: A free event that allows people seeking self-sufficiency to:

  1. Virtually visit over 170 franchise brands.
  2. Explore multiple business opportunities without leaving their desk, couch, beach chair.. (you get the idea)!
  3. Connect directly with their own personal The Entrepreneur’s Source® franchise coach: who by the way are the most trusted resource in franchising and alternative career coaching nationwide.

Terry Powell, Visionary Founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source® and the driving force behind Start a Business Weekend, is proud that his company’s virtual expo has attracted so much attention from prospective franchisees and franchisor partners.

  • So what’s the secret?

“I had seen the virtual expo concept used successfully with other business models and believed it could be even more successful in the franchise arena,” said Powell. “So, we embraced it as a key component of our franchise coaching business at The Entrepreneur’s Source (TES) and it has just taken off.

Powell adds, “nothing embodies the entrepreneurial spirit like the cutting-edge technology which fuels these virtual expos. It brings together top thinkers and magnetic keynote speakers, while allowing exploration of outstanding business opportunities at no cost to the attendees. That’s one goal we have stressed in the 5 years of doing this.”

  • It’s simple…

“Start a Business Weekend’s goal is to offer attendees as much personal, one on one interaction as possible, making ourselves available to talk with them about any aspect of Start a Business Weekend® or business ownership. It’s one of the most powerful educational programs we offer at The Entrepreneur’s Source® as North America’s leading alternative career coaching franchise“ said Powell.

More than a thousand people, total, attended the 3-day Start a Business Weekend® virtual expo. These attendees easily moved through the 3-D exhibit halls, visiting a wide variety of opportunities including automotive, home services, and senior care, all in their own virtual booths.

Start a Business Weekend also continues to attract new franchisor partners all eager to share their story with potential franchisees as exhibitors.

For example; Among the new exhibitors in July were:

Outback Guttervac – an Australian-based franchise company using a vacuum-based ThunderVac™ technology process to clean gutters more effectively.

Image Studios 360 – a salon-suite franchise that offers beauty and wellness professionals the opportunity to own their own business.

DCV Franchise Group – a division of SingerLewak, DCV is a strategic accounting and consulting partner that is part of one of California’s largest accounting and consulting firms.

Many of the prospective entrepreneurs logged on for more than an hour each day of the event, and if they missed any part of the live event during the expo, they simply played it back on demand during the weekend at their convenience.

  • Want to know the best part?

Each attendee is assigned a personal TES Franchise Coach who share with you more about the TES Discovery Process.   This process helps prospective entrepreneurs explore their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity (I.L.W.E) goals in greater depth while exploring the different franchise opportunities that fit their needs, goals and expectations.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the next wave of business owners this opportunity to truly connect with what their lives could be like if they choose to become self-sufficient and empowered instead of simply being employed, “said Powell.

  • That’s where Start a Business Weekend® fits in!

There is so much dissatisfaction in this country today among people who feel they are over-worked, underpaid, and have no control over their professional life, so much so that The Entrepreneur’s Source®, has coined it “The Battered Career Syndrome®.” It is designed for them to experience the education, coaching, and key resources available to help them achieve their dreams of business ownership.

  • I’m ready. Are you?

Here’s all you have to do to learn more about Start a Business Weekend® and sign up for the next virtual expo (October 26-28), just visit https://startabusinessweekend.com/!

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Are you sick and tired of the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Your Career 2.0: A Survival Guide for The Battered Career and Investor Syndrome: A Practical Road Map to Achieving Your Desired Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity Goals

Imagine this: You’re dozing in your seat as your jet taxis toward take-off, when the pilot gets on the P.A.

“Good afternoon, and thanks for flying with us today. We expect good weather on our trip to Los Angeles. However, we can’t seem to locate our flight plan and maps and air traffic control is unreachable, so we’ll just kind of be ‘winging it’ – no pun intended – to our destination. Looks like we’re Number 3 for take-off, so just sit back, relax…”

No! No! No!

You quit listening before “winging it” because you, along with several other passengers, are bolting for the emergency exits and screaming to get off the plane. “Winging it” is not how you want to get from Point A to Point B when you are thousands of miles off the ground!

Look:Trying to chart your own course through life can be just as dangerous without a map or help from mentors. Sure, you will succeed and fail on your own merits, but navigation aids can keep you on course toward your target goals.

Deep down you know it’s true. This is why “Your Career 2.0: A Survival Guide for The Battered Career and Investor Syndrome” was written by all of our career coaches at The Entrepreneur’s Source®, the nation’s number one resource for exploring alternative careers in franchising. Amazon Book reviewers have given “Your Career 2.0” 4.5 stars because of it’s honest, direct, clear-eyed examination of what any person can do NOW to make a game-changing career course correction.

This book will walk you through the whole process. “Your Career 2.0: A Survival Guide for the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome” first highlights the anguish of workers in the U.S. – from base-level salary employees to top executives – who feel like they’re trapped in their jobs.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read:

  • 78% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck
  • A decade after the Great Recession, 3 in 10 Americans still haven’t recovered
  • 75% of American workers feel trapped and truly want to become self-sufficient

Can this really be true? YES! This is why countless American workers suffer from Battered Career Syndrome,” which the book uses to hold a mirror up to each reader:

  • Does this sound like you?
  • Do you feel like you’re trapped as well?
  • Do you think there’s no other way out?
  • Do you hope the longer you stay in your very unhappy job situation, it MIGHT get better, some day?

“Hoping” is NOT a plan – it’d be like staying on that plane and hoping the pilots could blindly navigate the cluttered skies.

“Your Career 2.0: A Survival Guide for the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome” addresses exactly why so many American workers choose to remain in their “holding pattern.” They’re simply afraid to take that step, for many reasons. This guide doesn’t “sugar coat” recognizing the path to self-sufficiency is filled with obstacles and challenges. Our coaches call these the “F Words of Franchising: Frustration, Fear, Financial Constraints, Family and Friends.”

Think about this for example:

Frustration – you’re so beaten down by your “no growth job,” your frustration can be paralyzing to the point of never realizing there’s another path to real freedom.

Fear – it comes in many forms, but many suffer from fear of change, the unknown, and even fear of success.

Financial Constraints – many wonder how they can even afford to own their own business.

Family/Friends – yes, many well-intentioned family members and friends will point out the risks of owning your own business…all too often because they’re jealous and unwilling to take the necessary steps themselves.

“Your Career 2.0: A Survival Guide for the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome” doesn’t run from these “F Words,” but embraces them to explain how people can overcome them.   The book details where to find the dollars to invest in a business and how to tell friends and family about the greater risk of staying in a job which has no guarantees of being there tomorrow.

But here’s the problem: You’ve got the map in your hands, but what about a little extra encouragement to move out of your comfort zone?

So what’s the answer? What about a mentor who can offer their own insights and experience to help you on your journey to re-booting your career, just as they did? This what our career coaches do every day at The Entrepreneur’s Source®.

The book highlights the intense role of the career coach, from digging deep to find out if you want to become an entrepreneur and helping you uncover the true extent of your capabilities.  All of this while working hard to find the exact franchise fit for your skill sets and personality, without bias, or trying to drive a sale.

In short “Your Career 2.0: A Guide to the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome” is all about  helping potential entrepreneurs research, question, and explore alternative career options, with clarity, toward their next career move. A move which has the potential to help them zero in on their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity goals.

Ask yourself this question: Are you ready to board a plane with a defined direction custom-built to help you find YOUR Career 2.0?   If so, it’s time to partner with a The Entrepreneur’s Source franchise coach, purchase Your Career 2.0, and get started on the path toward finding your franchise match at www.franchisematch.com.

The Entrepreneur’s Source: 5 F-Words That Will Steal Your Chance to be Self-Sufficient

The Entrepreneur’s Source: 5 F-Words That Will Steal Your Chance to be Self-Sufficient.

If the pathway to self-sufficiency was free of obstacles and challenges, then everyone would take it. Unfortunately, obstacles and challenges do exist and they sometimes prevent individuals from taking the leap to business ownership.

When an individual starts to consider job opportunities outside of the standard, corporate 9-5 options, they will inevitably run into what The Entrepreneur’s Source calls the F words: Frustration, Fear, Financial constraints, Family and Friends. Today, The Entrepreneur’s Source examines these obstacles that may be holding people back from reaching their ultimate dream of self-reliance.

Frustration

Those who suffer from the Battered Career Syndrome know frustrations all too well: Feeling unappreciated in the workplace, staying in a dead-end job with no room for growth, not feeling inspired by the work they are doing. When examining frustrations, there are two different kinds: Healthy – the motivational kind, and unhealthy – the form that can become paralyzing. Regardless of if you’re suffering from the healthy or unhealthy kind of frustration, you can learn to channel your frustration by exploring your alternative career options.

Fear

Big or small, we all suffer from fears, but when it comes to fears associated with one’s career, these fears tend to become overwhelming and taxing. Most people worry about limited career options, if they possess transferable skills, keeping up with technology systems and the like. However, when deciding to move from Employment to Empowerment, the biggest fear most people encounter is the fear of self-employment. Other common fears include fear of change, fear of the unknown and fear of success. When an individual is able to recognize these fears and channel them to become motivation, then they truly will have the ability to overcome them.

Financial Constraints

Many people ward off the idea of investing in a business opportunity because they don’t think that they are financially able. However, what most people don’t initially understand is that there is an abundance of ways to finance a business and there are plentiful financing options available to small business owners and franchisees. However, no matter what financial state an individual is in, they will likely be able to find a financing option for their unique needs.

Family and Friends

Family and friends may be the most unlikely of sources that may hold you back from achieving your entrepreneurial dreams, but their holdup may be a reality for some. Whether an individual has the support of his or her friends in achieving their dreams may be the single most important factor whether an individual will eventually decide to leave their traditional career behind. Investing in a business opportunity is a risk, and this sometimes this may worry friends and family members that rely on an aspiring entrepreneur. However, it’s important to remember that staying in a stagnant career is also a risk, and friends and family members should be reminded of this as well.

An individual doesn’t have to experience all four of these obstacles to become debilitated in their ability to become an entrepreneurial, it just takes one. Realizing and being able to identify these obstacles exist is the first step in the process of trying to overcome them and ultimately reaching self-sufficiency.

Taking the leap from Employment to Empowerment is a big step, and you don’t have to do it alone. Alternative career coaches at The Entrepreneur’s Source can help guide you through the process of becoming a business owner. The Entrepreneur’s Source Asks: Can Franchising Help You Achieve Your Possibilities, Options and Dreams?

The Entrepreneur’s Source Examines the Freedom of Franchise Ownership. Can Franchising Help You Achieve Your Possibilities, Options and Dreams?

Do you ever wonder if investing in a franchise can help you achieve your Possibilities, Options, and Dreams? Well, the simple answer to this question is yes, it can. Franchising is a great route to self-sufficiency for prospective entrepreneurs looking to achieve their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity (I.L.W.E.) Goals. Today, The Entrepreneur’s Source franchise explores why franchising is an optimal route to help an individual reach his or her Possibilities, Options, and Dreams (POD.)

The Entrepreneur’s Source Franchise on Examining Your POD

The first step toward achievement is discovery. You’d be surprised by how many individuals who are unsatisfied with their current employment situation look for their next move before analyzing what possibilities and options stand before them and what their ultimate dream encompass. For this reason, an individual must take some time to do some soul searching and examine what their unique POD’s are before making any decisions on what path they will take to achieve them.

When analyzing one’s possibilities and options, the key is keeping an open mind, especially towards things that you not have been exposed to before or have experience in. That is where the true opportunity lies. Otherwise, you are simply trapped by the definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. When analyzing the options that stand before you, it’s important to look at options that can be used as vehicles to attain your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity (I.L.W.E.) Goals. This position will ensure that you will be happy with the result of the path you choose.

When an individual works for someone else, whether it’s a billion dollar company or even just a medium sized business, there are many tradeoffs that these employees may have to make. Some people choose to commute to work, clock in extra hours on the weekends or even working overtime to satisfy their company to and to get all of their work done. When you work for someone else, you are foregoing the opportunity to follow your own dreams and instead are spending your energy building someone else’s.

Some of your dreams you may have had since you were a child or maybe new dreams that have formed for you later in life, but no dream is too unattainable. Do you want to have enough money to vacation with your family each year? Do you want to make more time in your schedule to spend with your family and friends? Or is it that you want to be able to retire comfortably when you turn the right age? No matter what your dream may be, franchising should be considered when you are looking for a vehicle to achieve your dream.

Franchising as a Vehicle to Success

Franchising is just one possible option that may stand before you, but it’s important to take a deeper dive into this possibility because it offers many benefits. Franchising is a great vehicle to self-sufficiency because investing in a franchise model enables each individual to move from Employment to Empowerment. Because franchise brands are built upon proven systems and operations, franchise owners will truly never be alone in their business but will rather have a franchisor there to guide them when they need.

Franchising allows business owners to work for themselves but not by themselves, giving these franchisees a new sense of freedom in their career path. Franchisees can determine how aggressively they want to grow their businesses or not. For those who decide to give it their all, there is a direct correlation with the reward they reap – unlike when you are working hard for someone else. Become your own boss and call the shots!

The Entrepreneur’s Source Defines Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity, to Make It Work for YOU!

Terry Powell, founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source defines Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity, and how to make it work for YOU!

What is your definition of wealth? Is it endless money? Taking your private jet to your own island in the Caribbean? Having the mall all to yourself for a private shopping spree? Maybe owning a parking garage in the middle of Manhattan just so you will have a guaranteed spot for your car when you want to see a Broadway show?

Many of those scenarios are a bit fanciful (I mean who DOESN’T want to have their own private parking space in NYC?), but the idea is this: wealth can have just as many different definitions as there are people who work for a living in this country. Your wealth dreams probably are a bit more realistic than the ones listed above. Maybe you want that getaway place in the mountains or the beach, or making sure the kids can attend any college they wish, or having enough for a comfortable retirement.

Here’s my definition for what it’s worth: having enough money to do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Pretty simple, right? But it speaks VOLUMES!

Are you listening?

In your current job, is your income moving you closer to YOUR dreams, or do those dreams appear as if you’re looking through the wrong end of a telescope at them? According to the latest Society for Human Resource Management survey, salaries are projected to increase 3% this year – the same as last year and simply not that impressive. Remember, that’s an AVERAGE, so IF you get a salary increase at all, it will likely be minuscule.

What about your lifestyle? Are you living to work, or just working to live? With an improving economy, more American workers are happier, but in a recent poll, more than 95% of workers stated work life balance was very important to them, even more so than salary, benefits, even job security! So, take stock right now: how’s YOUR work-life balance? Do you have more time for family, friends, hobbies, or activities, or do you have less?

Okay, so you’re putting in a lot of time, for an average salary, but do you have any equity in your job? I mean real ownership? Probably not. You are employed, but not empowered. You are making money for others, with little to show for it at the end of the day, except for a paycheck (which could be a corporate decision away from ending), or capped dollars in a retirement plan, which may, or may not be there when you retire.

Maybe it’s time to reassess your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity goals, while becoming self-sufficient as a business OWNER, not an employee.

As the visionary founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source® the nation’s leading franchise coaching network, I was recently asked about my definition of wealth by a national reporter. Here’s what I shared with him for his story:

“The Entrepreneur’s Source® first gave me a new opportunity to be self-employed, then became an amazingly rewarding career and now has become my calling. Wealth for me is freedom, satisfaction, and helping others change their lives for the better. We help people re-define Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity and use business ownership as the vehicle to achieve their own definition of those four words.”

I see my success and the financial rewards of wealth as a by-product of being able to focus on helping others achieve their own success.”

Freedom. Satisfaction. Do those words resonate with you?

They can be yours working with The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES), to help educate and explore your options for business ownership. TES will not only help you find those options, but you will have your own personal coach to guide you step by step through TES thorough process, to match you with a business opportunity fitting your skill-sets and personality.

I personally invite you to start discovering the path to having greater control over your work life, as well as defining for yourself what Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity, really means for you.   To take the first step toward transforming your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity and find your very own franchise match, please visit www.franchisematch.com.
