At The Entrepreneur’s Source: Show Your Military Appreciation: Share This Post With A Veteran

Show Your Military Appreciation: Share This Post With A Veteran. They’ve put their lives on the line for our safety and security. At The Entrepreneur’s Source®, we celebrate our military and their families every single day, but May is special as it’s designated Military Appreciation Month. Imagine if we could show our appreciation by giving an unimaginable gift— the gift of living your dream. It’s a gift you can give yourself and The Entrepreneur’s Source can help you do it.

The future…post-military

The Department of Defense estimates that as many as 245,000 enlisted service members and officers will leave the military each year through 2019. Will you go back to a job that feels like basic training all over again? That may work for some, but don’t you owe it to yourself to consider entrepreneurship? While you were out making the world a safer place for everybody, a few things changed in the business world. The “New Career Economy” has many people, veterans and civilians alike, re-evaluating their futures.

8 Reasons Veterans Make Great Franchise Owners

Think about this – one out of seven franchise businesses are owned and operated by veterans of the U.S. military. There’s a reason veterans are such successful business owners — actually, there are more than one! Read over this list and consider your own Goals, Needs & Expectations.

  1. Natural leaders – Leadership is a skill that you can’t buy — and it’s a skill that’s needed to become a successful business owner. During a career in the military, this skill is developed and refined, and it comes in handy if you’re in charge of a team of employees.
  2. Work ethic – Nobody says owning a franchise is easy. It’s hard work and long hours, at least at the beginning. The key here is that you do that hard work and put in those long hours for yourself and not somebody else!
  3. Stress management – Veterans know a thing or two about stress, from combat situations to deployment and family separations. Opening a new business that could make your dreams come true? You got this – you won’t be fazed.
  4. Following a system – From day one of a military career, you’re given orders. Let us explain how that translates into successful franchising. A franchise is built on a plan, with pretty much every detail worked out by the people who’ve tried it and tested it before you! It’s a system for success, but it’s up to you to execute it. The franchise system gives you the recipe to be successful, all you have to do is follow the system and make sure the plan is executed! Not everyone has that focus and follow-through.
  5. Start at the top – This is especially true if you are retiring from the military. Do you really want to go somewhere and start at the bottom doing grunt work, or are you more interested in an Encore Career? An Encore Career puts you in the driver’s seat of your destiny.
  6. Commitment and loyalty – Franchisors can be picky! They have to be — their success depends upon your success. They are going to award their franchises to people they can trust to take care of business. With all the sacrifices most military men and women make for their country, you can’t question their commitment and loyalty to something they believe in.
  7. Teamwork – This may seem like a no-brainer to vets, but not everyone understands the concept of teamwork. As veterans, your job, or even your life, may depend on someone else doing their part correctly. Apply this skill to your own business, and you’ll reap the benefits.
  8. Perks – You’ve earned them, now enjoy them! There are a number of benefits extended to veterans who want to own their own business, from favorable lending rates to tax breaks. That already provides you with the incentive to dig deeper into entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Go From Employment to Empowerment

While many of us strive to become autonomous in our employment, we oftentimes fall into the trap of staying unhappy in our careers due to fears of taking a leap and making a change. If you’re unsatisfied in your current career and are looking to turn your employment situation around, you can transform from You 1.0 to YOU 2.0®… and move from Employment to Empowerment®.

In the post-recession economy, workers are still struggling to gain a foothold on their professional growth. Nearly half of all middle-class Americans are not confident in their ability to save sufficiently for retirement. For many, all it takes is a small bout of joblessness for any savings that people have managed to put aside to disappear.

Unsure of where you should start?

Achieve YOU 2.0® by setting clear goals for yourself.  Below The Entrepreneur’s Source® explains how you can begin your journey to YOU 2.0® by analyzing the Dangers, Strengths, and Opportunities that come with achieving self-sufficiency.

Dangers

Dangers are the thoughts and ideas that keep you up at night, the obstacles, stressors and issues that are currently facing you or what may face you in your future. Dangers make an individual feel as if they have no control over their destiny and often discourage an individual from following through the goal that they have set for themselves. Some common dangers that people are concerned about include:

  • How long will I be able to keep my current job?
  • Are my skills transferrable?
  • Is my age a limitation in my career?
  • Do I have the ability to build the wealth and equity for my family?

The dangers you face should not paralyze you; there are ways to be proactive and overcome these circumstances. Every individual has the power to take control of his or her career by aligning themselves with a coach who will guide you to see beyond your current blind spots, and empower you to overcome these perceived roadblocks.

Strengths

Strengths, in short, are what you’re considered well at: Your talents, capabilities, and skills. These are what you should capitalize on when creating YOU 2.0® because they can act as the tools to achieve your dreams. Start by asking yourself what you believe your strengths are with these guiding questions:

  • Do you have an immaculate work ethic?
  • Are you adaptable and resilient when it comes to change?
  • What transferrable skills do you possess?
  • Are you possibilities focused?

There are dozens of questions that an individual can ask themselves to determine what his or her unique strengths are, the ones above should only be a starting point. When looking into your strengths, don’t wallow in your weaknesses because dwelling on these can hold you back from self-sufficiency. Instead, focus on the positive.

Opportunities

Opportunities are the circumstances and possibilities that get you excited and motivated to make a change. It’s not always easy to see what possibilities are out there because dangers sometimes overshadow the opportunities, but you can overcome this by focusing on what you want in your future, not what will stop you from getting there. Some opportunities that an individual can focus on include:

  • Your hunger to create the lifestyle of your dream
  • Your desire to spend more time with your friends and family
  • Your yearning to become financially independent
  • Your aspiration to become more passionate about your career.

It’s easy to get inspired by the opportunities that stand before you because in reality, they are endless. By writing down the most important ones to you, this can help you become more driven to actually set a pathway for you to accomplish them.

Why not invest in yourself and your future and get yourself a copy of the book: Your Career 2.0®: A Survival Guide for the Battered Career and Investor Syndrome®.

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Don’t Be A Slacker When It Comes To You!

The Entrepreneur’s Source explains why the promises we make to ourselves are the most important

Remember all those big plans you made for yourself at the beginning of the year? Maybe you promised to exercise more and eat healthier. Maybe you promised yourself you would find a way to live a life that felt more like living and less like existing!

Now let’s assume you started the year with an idea in place and plenty of motivation. Maybe you actually went and joined a gym or saw a nutritionist. Maybe you actually decided to leave your dead-end job and pursue your dream of entrepreneurship. Remember all the enthusiasm and excitement you felt when you committed to reaching those goals?  For months you might have actually gone to the gym and you might have actually researched a few business ideas. But then… life happens.

It could be that you got sick and missed the gym for a week, then decided you might as well have a hamburger, too. At work, you got hit with a huge project that’s taking hours of your time. And all that effort working on somebody else’s dream meant you couldn’t even take a step toward your own. The coaches here at The Entrepreneur’s Source® want you to remember those feelings of enthusiasm and excitement; because it’s not too late to recommit to yourself and achieve your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity goals!

In fact, it’s so common to lose steam as summer approaches that May is known as National Recommitment Month. If you have that dream of owning your own business — or love the idea of working to live instead of living to work, then keep on reading, because our alternative career coaches have five reasons why you should ditch the day job and recommit to yourself

  1. When you help yourself, you can help others. There’s a reason the airline safety demonstration tells you to put your oxygen mask on before helping others. Happiness is kind of that way too. If you are miserable at your job, constantly traveling or working on the weekends, then it’s unlikely that you’re happy. The Entrepreneur’s Source calls it the Battered Career Syndrome. If you start the journey toward making yourself happy, you are in a better position to make those around you happy as well.
  2. You should dare to dream. What would you do if you weren’t afraid of failure? Our proven methods will show you that not only is it okay to dare to dream, but also that you really can achieve it. Our coaching process is all about your possibilities, your options, and your YOUR WILLINGNESS to explore and define your unique goals, needs and expectations is one of the main catalysts for success.
  3. Hardships deserve rewards. Here are a couple of examples: You put in years of hard work and long hours at a company where you’re just another drone. Maybe you’ve busted your butt and sacrificed your family and now you’re being rewarded with a layoff notice! Those are the hardships — going into business for yourself and working toward your goals is the next step AND the reward.
  4. Stop settling. Some people spend their lives settling for less than they really want. Sometimes settling is a compromise that’s an understandable sacrifice: sure, you’d rather have the luxury sports car instead of the minivan, but that’s a sacrifice you’re willing to make for your family. But is sacrificing your happiness at work worth it? According to Psychology Today, the average American spends 90,000 hours on the job over their lifetime! That’s a lot of misery if you’re unhappy on the job. With the help of The Entrepreneur’s Source®, we can help you find the best way to achieve your ultimate goals — maybe it’s wealth, maybe it’s more time with your family. Remember that the business is NOT the dream… it’s how you achieve the dream.
  5. Set an example for your kids. Every parent has hopes and dreams for their child. We doubt too many of them dream of a future for their child that’s filled with commuting for hours every day, clocking in, clocking out, and then falling into an exhausted sleep at night so you can do it again the next day. But remember, parents are the prime role models for their children. If you want them to live happy, exciting, and fulfilled lives, shouldn’t you do so yourself?

Change is scary; but good. We’ve been helping people go from Employment to Empowerment® for more than 34 years now. If you’ve lost the motivation, here’s an easy way to get it back: The Entrepreneur’s Source® Start a Business Weekend®. It’s a Virtual Expo that will allow you to explore and compare over 170 franchising opportunities and discover funding options to finance your new business.

Recommit to yourself and to your dream by taking these easy first steps.   And when you’re ready to find your franchise match that will propel you forward, head to https://www.franchisematch.com/.

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Creating Careers at a Record Pace in 2018

The Entrepreneur’s Source: Creating Careers and Facilitating Small Business Ownership at a Record Pace in 2018

North America’s Leading Alternative Career Coaching Franchise Expects A Third Straight Record-Breaking Year This Year

The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES), North America’s leading alternative career coaching franchise, is on track for their THIRD record-breaking year in a row.

This is not only great news for those looking to fulfill their dreams of self-sufficiency and business ownership, it’s also great news for intelligent and inspiring entrepreneurs who are considering careers as TES Career Transition Coaches.

“In 2016, after 32 years in business, we had our highest revenue year, despite the fact that it was an election year – something that usually puts a hold on big decisions,” says Terry Powell, visionary founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source®. “Then, 2017 rolled around, and we broke the record set in 2016 – adding new TES coaches and helping hundreds find the right franchise for them. And now, four months in to 2018, we’re projecting another record setting year this year.”

The Entrepreneur’s Source® saw a 20 percent increase in total revenue earned in 2017, and as April 2018 draws to a close, early indicators suggest TES is already ahead of that record-breaking pace for 2018.

“This is great news for the company, the economy in general and for all of those workers suffering from the Battered Career Syndrome,” said Powell.  “We are thrilled to help anyone who is interested in investing in themselves and taking steps toward financial freedom and fulfillment. Our continued growth shows the demand that more people are realizing that self-employment is not just a dream, but is actually a reality that can be achieved with a little help and guidance from an alternative career coach.”

The Entrepreneur’s Source® says that the demand for Career Transition coaching is so high they are looking for an additional 40–50 new coaches this year just to keep up. TES alternative career coaches help bring franchisors and potential franchisees together and to this day is still the only coaching group in this sector.

With more coaches joining the TES franchise family, The Entrepreneur’s Source® is gearing up for the largest ever TES Annual Conference this September at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Approximately 500 TES franchisor partners, resource partners and alternative career coaches will gather to share information.  It’s all part of TES’ ongoing efforts to help make franchise ownership a reality for the hundreds of thousands of disengaged workers looking for guidance to make a change.
